Orvis Outfitter of the Year
and 2000 Orvis Guide of the
Year has conducted separate
fly fishing guide and rowing
programs for more than a
decade. One hundred miles
west of Denver, on the banks
of the Eagle River you can
find our store location
minutes from the Vail and
Beaver Creek Resorts.
Schools are held in May and
June. We do hire guides from
the schools each year.

Founded in 1985, the Mountain
Angler is located in scenic
Breckenridge, Colorado. It is
central Colorado's oldest
Flyshop and Guide Service.
The owner, Jackson Streit,
began guiding in the area in
1977 and today employs 14
full time guides during the
summer months. Guided trips
are offered year-round on the
waters of the Blue, Eagle,
South Platte, Colorado, and
the Arkansas rivers and their
tributaries. If you are
seeking private water, and
fish pushing 10 lbs., the
Mountain Angler holds leases
on the waters of 15 private
ranches in the area. Many
smaller remote creeks (filled
with Brookies and Cuthroats)
are located only minutes from
the shop. Overnight float
trips and Fly Fishing Schools
are scheduled periodically-
