Current Report
Report date March 18th, 2004 SLOUGH CREEK IS HOT!!!!! Have been fishing at slough creek in Wichita many, many times and have never seen them stock so many 1-2 pound rainbows before. spinng rigs using white or salmon colored rooster tails seemed to do the best but a fly rod using small red brassies or jigs down about 14" in an indicator did well also. This is probably the last stocking(last thursday) at Wichita for the season, but they put in a lot of larger trout this time. Talked to one fisherman who took 33 in just 3 hours there, I caught 15 but at least 30% were nice ones 14-16 inches or more.
