Current Report
January was a great month with 4 out of five groups catching Marlin. 6 blue marlin, 3 black marlin a lot of sailfish most over 100 lb., dorado, mullet snapper and cubrea snapper and a few wahoo but they are finishing up. Capt. Lee Campbell Lee, Betsy and I had a great time and appreciated your hospitality and the quality of your boats and crew. Those 38-46 lb tuna were tough on the flyrod, but I would still like a 100# plus fish ( like the one we got on a bonito) to inhale a fly. The world record is now about 111 lbs ( pending). As you say, we can take our time fighting the fish thanks to the relative absence of sharks. I would also like to get to Panama in August -September ( 07 likely) to fish for Wahoo. I'll talk up your operation at the saltwater flyfishing club ( pacific#1) and will send a few pictures of the fly caught tuna. Steve Petit
