Current Report
Well, contrary to some, my report won't be painting a picture of incredibly high fish counts, wonderful landing rates or speculation......it's simply what I've seen on the river over the last few weeks. I don't feel that the "spring run is on", instead we do have some fish getting "busy" around gravel, but that's not uncommon in a FEW instances come late January. The river is COLD, temps yesterday were 33-34, hardly spawning temps, let alone good ones for fish migration.......lake MI is completely open, NO ice, pretty warm for this time of year and I believe most fish are still at/near respective pier heads or lakes that such rivers feed into prior to making it to open water. Some trout fishing to be had, actually had some midge hatching with trout feeding during recent sunny days, which we haven't had many of ! Saw small stones working their way to shore and the surface yesterday as well. That's it from "another perspective", happy angling and may your time on the water be enjoyable.
