Winter steelheading heats up on the Muskegon River

Current Report
The winter steelheading has begun to heat up on the Muskegon River. We have been out recently and have noticed a increase in the number of fish we are hooking in a days fishing. Water temps are still keeping the fish in the slower deeper pools. Egg patterns and small nymphs (caddis,pt's and small stones) Most fish are in their winter dress with a few brighter fish mixed in. Look for pools with a cobbled bottom and a bubbly current seam to find the biters.
