Current Report
Many rivers in W. Michigan are fishing very well for late fall/winter steelhead AND trout, including the Pere Marquette, White and Muskegon rivers. With warm weather the past month+, it looks and feels more like mid-November than early January. Guided trip two days ago on the Muskegon river went very well, with Jim from Chicago landing his 1st AND 2nd steelhead of his life his partner Tom tangling with 4 of his own. Water temp was 37 and flows at this time are running around 3000 cfs, normal for early January around 2000 cfs. Both caught a number of trout as well, ranging from 8- 17 1/2 inches.
