Current Report
The river is low, clear, and
cold. Water temps are in the
low 30's.
One-Week Fishing Forecast
Winter is definitely here.
The weather is due to
moderate a bit by next week.
Winter steelheading will
continue to be slow unless we
get a good winter thaw (along
with increased water
levels). The steelies still
seem to be in the BIG LAKE.
Two-Week Fishing Forecast
Same as the one week forecast.
Hatch Info
There will be plenty of tiny
midges. Surface activity has
been sporadic at best,
however.
Hot Fly Patterns
Bead head hares ears,
pheasant tails, and prince
nymphs will take some trout.
Bead-head nymphs will always
work.
Surface activity has been
sporadic at best. All you
need is your favorite midge
pupae and adults.
Use the usual suspects for
steelhead flies-PM
wigglers, wiggle hexes, green
caddis, egg
patterns, and waxworm
imitations.
Just passing time until the
steelies role in; possibly
the latter part of October?.
Water Temperature
low 30's
