Gaspe's Atlantic salmon season is just around the corner. 2004 was an excellent season: - 2004 runs - York River: 1272 salmon 620 grilses Total: 1892 Dartmouth River: 657 salmon 440 grilses Total: 1097 St-Jean River: 677 salmon 368 grilses Total: 1063 % of grilses in 2004 was excellent (should be our 10- 12 lbs returning fish for 2005). Season: June 1 to September 30 Levels are presently starting to rise (snow melt)... Fish usually start entering by mid-May. Wishing you all great fishing for the coming season!
