Current Report
The Salmon have started to arrive in good numbers at the counting facilities at the mouth of the Northwest. We have seen lots of good size sea trout, (7 pound range) they have counted some 10lbs plus at the fence. The water is low but not to bad as far as temperature goes. We should start to hear reports of grilse being taken on some of the other branches as well. With a little rain in the forecast we should see the first wave of the expected 100,000 salmon to reach throughout the Norwest Miramichi by the end of the week.
