Current Report
05/30/2005- 7pm.-9pm. Fishing Crk. Clinton county, northcentral, PA. WEATHER- Overcast, warm mid 60's. WATER Conds.- Bad, Very Low and unusually clear, little chalky tint.Temp.-59F. Flies- #14 Sulphur nymph,#16-18 Ike's APO, #20 midge larva, #16 Sulphur dry, #14 Grey Fox Dry, #24 Gnat dry and #24 cream midge Dry. I caught 0, nothing (strange???). I did hook 2 one small fish on #24 cream midge dry and Snapped of a Big fish at dark on #24 Gnat dry. Might of missed a few on nymphs at least1 but it was tough. HATCHES- LOTS of bugs, BWO's, Sulphurs, and midges. and a few bigger spinners Grey Fox/March Brns?. RISERS- very little, for the amount of bugs on the water only saw 6 risers in the tail end of one of my favorite Dry Fly Holes. I stopped at Fishing Crk. on the way home today. There wasn't too many people out so I decided to fish. I fished nymphs in some fast pocket water and dries in a bigger slower pool. Very Weird Evening, no Drakes, seen very few fish, and Bad water conds. I have fished Fishing a few times this year and hadn't done too well at all. Myself and four close friends of mine have fished Fishing Crk. with limited luck, a few times each this winter and Spring and noticed the water has been low most the time, and unusually clearer, little colder this winter and warmer this Spring than usual. I heard resently they were proposing to put a Quarry in the area, I don't know if it has happen and/or if that is the cause for the changes. If anybody know anything about the Fishing Creek drainage and/or any problems in the area Please let me know what's going on,if anything. Thank you, Joe Ike joeike@keystoneanglingheritag e.com Or joeikeill@yahoo.com
