Current Report
06/05/2005- ?7:30pm.-9:10pm.? On/Off Falling Spring Branch Franklin county, southcentral, PA. WEATHER- overcast,hot/humid, but did cool quickly compared to yesterday low 80's (high) but cooled down. WATER Conds.- little low and crystal clear.Temp.-cold 50- 51F. FLIES- #18 Tan caddis dry,#16 Sulphur dry and #14 sulphur nymph. I landed 0, Nothing. Rolled 3 and missed 2. Tough evening compared to yesterday. HATCHES- good amount of Blk. Caddis, some Tan caddis, but not a whole much of sulphurs though, and some midges. RISERS- a few and sporadic. I fished again today figuring it was another Sulphur Kinda evening, but not really cooled down pretty quick. Sorry again guys I try to leave it open on the weekends but, had limited time to fish so had to go close. I did met a very nice gentleman from the Poccono's area.He ws walking around but, I talked him into fishing, we conversed for awhile he was very interested in the area and the streams. Hopefully I helped him out with everything he needed. He's a novice flyfisher so I tried my best to help. I sent him to an area I was going to fish and I went to try some water I havn't fished for a few months. The fish in that area seemed extra skittish, than I found out there was a guy just ahead of me, so Iturned around walked backk to where I started and sat, watched and waited. But not much action. Oh well... there's always tommorrow. Later, Joe Ike joeike@keystoneanglingheritag e.com Or joeikeill@yahoo.com
