Current Report
Hit the Lower D near the mouth for the fourth time this year. Each time I have gone I have questioned my intelligence. The first time it was too early - July. The second and third time the pressure was in the process of falling. This last time it seemed like it may have been hot enough to unleash the White (dirty bugger) River. The color is off and the river has few on it. I knew I was in for when I saw the boats holding far out in the Columbia; going to the edge on the silty water exiting the D. This is the worst start for me on the D since I started fishing it ten years ago. Like a heroin addict, I can't stop from going no matter how bad it can be. Anybody done any good this year? Last year was great for me with a 22# capping the year. This year I just seem to be practicing casting. Tight lines and knots.
