Current Report
Well, now down to the end of April ... and it's been a heck of a good year for winter run steelhead. Offical count is now over 20,000 fish through the counter. Bulk of these have now spawned and are downers. Still VERY little in the way of Sprink King run activity, even at the mouth of the river. Unusual, as by this time large numbers have usually moved into the lower Rogue ... not this year. Mixed answer's to the 'why?' question. Water too clear, cold, still someplace at sea ... etc
