Current Report
My son Brent (9 years old) and I fished the Maupin area the day after fathers day. This was Brents first time to the Deschutes river. I left my fly rod in the car all day and helped him with his casting and his footing!!! The weather was mid 90`s with zero cloud cover, the fishing was not as good as I had hoped. We fished from noon to 5pm, Brent caught 3 rainbows with no help from me. The largest was around 12 inches. Hopefully this will lead him to a lifetime of being my fishing partner!!! Great way to spend fathers day weekend!!
