Current Report
Early November like weather has the flyfishing action picking up in the lower Rogue. The cloud cover of the weekend really encouraged the halfpounder bite. The water level remains low and when one fish is found, expect to cast and hook more in that "special spot". I found that by changing fly pattern after every fish caught, I could readily continued the hooking action. Jet boat activity on the water was very light Sunday. Adult steelhead up to 10 pounds and Coho up to 15 have also been caught below Agness. I think by now everyone has heard the story of that 70 pound plus Chinook caught by a flyrod down around Clay Banks. The latest Brigg's guide service (http://www.briggsroguetrips.c om/) four day lower Rogue float through the Wild and Scenic section encountered good number of steelhead, half pounders and Coho salmon.
