Lower Owens

Last weekend, about five of us camped at the Wild Trout campgrounds and fished the wild trout section of the Lower Owens. We all know the river very well. Mornings were OK with nice fish caught on 18 Copper Johns, LGFs, zebras, PTs. Once the hatches started around 11, it was drys. We were usually very deep on the nymphs and pretty much nailed them all weekend. Plenty of bigger fish. I caught a gorgeous 16+ bow along with several browns to 15. Weather was excellent. Every guy had at least 20-30 fish on every day.....
