Current Report
Finally the chinook arrived
and its the first time I
have been able to fish in
almost 2 month. The
temperature was around 7C
and the winds were light.
The sky was overcast so at
least the snow was melting
slower so the river didn't
get really dirty, there was
just under 2 feet of
visibility.
I only was out for 2 hours
and hauled in a 20" Bow and
lost a 22" Bow under an ice
shelf. Also hooked into a
couple Whities. The trout
took the wire SJW and i was
also using a green rockworm
and a tiny red midge.
There was a bunch of midges
around the ice shel but the
water was way too cold for
any surface activity.
The Bow is currently in mid-
winter conditions so look
for the deep slow pools and
get your flies to the
bottom.
Keep a constant eye out for
the iceberg, lots of them
and some were massive. The
ice shelf have started to
give way, so know where you
are, and maybe fish with a
buddy. The weather looks
good for a few days, if it
clears up then fish early
before the street runoff
really dirties the water up.
HAVE A GREAT DAY OF
FISHING!!!
