Weekly update
Fraser River / Fraser Valley
Report
The Fraser River is finally
shaping up, ice flows have
dispersed, water levels are
beginning to recede. Back
channels and sloughs should
now have open water for
targeting cutthroat trout and
sturgeon fishing should begin
to produce fair to good
results again. Temperatures
have warmed up quite a bit
this week so you could even
see some afternoon winter
stone fly hatches.
Sturgeon
We have not been on the water
fishing for sturgeon this
past week but plan on hitting
the water next week. We
should be able to give you
accurate and up to date
reports after that as we have
charters going out almost
every day. If your planning a
sturgeon trip, we are
offering some great winter
specials and seat sales that
you can take advantage of.
Check out our adventure
section for details.
If youre planning on
visiting the Vancouver area
in Feb, March, April or May
we are now booking for spring
Sturgeon charters. You can
book your own boat or join
others who have already done
so and are looking for
anglers to join them. Check
out our new " shared guide
trips" section on our
website. If you are planning
on fishing with us in
October / November for our
best sturgeon fishing action,
dont wait too long to book,
we are already filling dates.

Trout
Winter trout fishing on the
Fraser River can be very good
during December and January.
In fact some of the best
fishing occurs during these
months. Although our
preferred method is fly
fishing you can target these
fish with gear and bait. On
the warmer afternoons when
temperatures rise we usually
see a fairly large Winter
Stone fly hatch. These
Stoneflys can reach as big
as 2 cm in length providing a
good food source for both
resident Cutthroat and course
fish such as Chub, Whitefish
and Northern Pike Minnows.
We will be offering guided
trips for all winter for
Fraser River Cutthroat Trout
as well as several remote
rivers for Cutthroat,
Rainbows and Bull Trout. Give
us a call or e-mail for more
information on our winter
trout fishing.

Vedder River Steelhead
The Vedder River is fishing
extremely well, good numbers
of fish being caught in the
upper and mid river this
week. Anglers are reporting
aggressive fish and multiple
hook ups throughout the river
system. Pink worms, roe bags
and wool ties are all
producing good results. From
what I am hearing this is
shaping up to be one of the
best starts to the season I
have seen in many years. We
were out a few days ago for
only 2 hours and landed a
nice 11lb hatchery doe, got a
call a few minutes later and
an associate hooked into 2
nice fish just below us. Got
home and 3 more calls, all
with fish stories of 1 or
more hook ups. Water
conditions are looking good
for the weekend, good luck.

Boat as its gets built.

Harrison River
The Harrison can produce some
nice cutthroat during winter
months. None of these fish
are large but the action can
keep any angler interested.
Dead drifting egg patterns is
one of my favorite winter
techniques. Small glo bugs
tied with a bit of weight can
be deadly when drifted just
above the river bottom. There
are also lots of Northern
Pike Minnows and some White
Fish to be caught as well.
This September we are
expecting millions of Pink
Salmon to return to both the
Harrison & Fraser River. Peak
fishing is from Sept 7 to 21.
If your looking for some
incredible action on both fly
and spoon, this is a great
fishery to experience.
Although September is a long
way away, our regular clients
know how fast we sell out. If
your wanting to experience
this great fishery, give us a
call to reserve your dates.
Chehalis River
Steelhead fishing on the
Chehalis was hot last week,
lots of reports of nice
steelhead in the 8 to 12 lb
range, one angler reporting 7
fish in 3 hours near the
canyon. The Easter seal was
producing some nice fish last
week with fish holding
throughout the run. As water
levels drop quickly in this
river, so does the good
action. Haven't herd a report
the past two days so you'll
just have to go give it a
try.Feel free to send us a
report.
Join us this summer for our
Annual Finns & Skins
Tournament at Sandpiper Golf
Club. Seats are limited so
you must book early. Call or
e-mail us for details. Only 4
boats remaining.
Remember to conserve your
catch
Tight Lines and we will see
you on the water
