Current Report
With the consistent sunshine here on the coast the fishing has been excellent! All lower elevation lakes have had many hatches of insects daily. Chironomids have been a mainstay but mayflies are becoming more prominent as the days go by. Damselflies and dragonflies have been spotted in a number of lakes moving close to the shore and weeds. This can be a great time of year to try the two bigger lakes on the coast. Sakinaw and Ruby lakes have some wonderful Cutthroat trout in them. Watch the regulations for both of these lakes. Particular patterns that have been working well on our tours lately are prince nymphs, damselfly nymphs and Griffiths gnats. <'}}}>< Tightlines, Scott Elliott Trout Tales Flyfishing Adventures www.trouttales.ca fishon@trouttales.ca
