Current Report
Water clarity is 18-24". Fishing is good, but is slow. The trout are starting to move out of their wintering holes and into the main currents. Rainbows are into the full spawn. Nymphing technique is still the most successful method with streamers starting to move more fish. Start looking for snouts breaking the surface during the early morning, later in the afternoon and into the evening. BWO's, midges are the dominant hatches. Look for Caddis and Stoneflies to start coming out. Try nymphs suchs as Pheasant tails, Gold Ribbed Hare's ears, Prince Nymphs, Golden stones, San Juan worms, Green Caddis Larvae, Black copper johns and Rubber Leg Beadhead Squirrel tails. Streamers that have produced over the past week are black wooly buggers, Bow river buggers, clouser minnows, McCunes Sculpin, White zoo cougars and bunny leaches. Try skating some stonefly patterns for dries, keep an eye out for trout rising to midges, try BWO's, Griffith's Gnats and H&L Variants
