Current Report
I fished all three of these rivers last week (3/13-3/20) during my annual journey to Arkansas. I fished the White at Bull Shoals with very good luck on a #20 tan sowbug. Hooked one large brown in the ten pound class that quickly ran downstream and spit the hook. I landed a few rainbows there in the 20" range during the week. McClellans continues to be my favorite place in the country to fish. Landed many rainbows and once again hooked a few large browns. Sight fishing was possible at low water. During a few consecutive days of generation on both of the rivers, I managed to fish the Spring River a little further east. I landed many small browns and rainbows on #16 sulfers and a #20 adams. The largest fish topped out at 14". If you're planning a trip to this area, make sure to stop at Couch's Pit BBQ in Mountain Home...You won't regret it!
