Current Report
S. Holston River:
The S. Holston is fishing
extremely good right now
with Sulphurs coming off and
trout willing to take Duns
and Nymphs all day. On the
upper selection fish are
taking Midges and
Blackflies. Number of good
fishing in the 14-20" range
are being caught.
Watauga River:
The Watauga is fishing great
with the big Caddis just
finishing and the Tan
Caddis' starting up. Not
long after the Caddis' are
done the Sulphurs will start
up on the Watauga as well.
Nice Browns and Rainbows are
rising to Dries along with
taking nymphs in runs. It is
just a great time to be on
the water.
Holston River:
The Smallies on the Holston
River are just coming off
the beds and are hungry. We
are catching nice size
Smallmouths up to 3lbs. on
both Flies and spinning
tackle. The Smallies are fat
and mean right now and with
the warmer weather they will
be taking poppers. What a
blast a big Smallmouth on a
fly.
Nolichucky River:
The Smallies on the Chucky
are now on the beds, and
they are willing to take
Poppers off the top. There
are also fish chasing
minnows, and during the
slower periods you may have
to go down for them.
