Current Report
The South Holston is fishing well right now. There are sulphur hatches around 2:30pm and the fish are feeding heavily during the hatch. We are using sulphur emergers as a dropper off the back of a comparadun. The browns are starting to move around a feed to get ready for the upcoming spawn season. The Watauga is very low but fishing great. We are seeing a small tan caddis and craneflies. The Caddis Riffle is full of nice fish but the water is so low they are very spooky. The Holston Proper for smallmouth is great. We are taking them on poppers and medium woolly buggers. The Todds Wiggle minnow is producing in the late eveing as the fish move back to the middle of the river from the shady banks. Give me a call, 423-360-1468, to book your fall fishing trip. Don't forget about the upcoming winter fishing season for one of those trophy browns or rainbows. Thanks, Randy Ratlif and Nes Levotch, Troutfishers Guide Service
