Current Report
Hello once again. Capt Bill Glenn reporting from S.C. After a long and slow winter our spring is fast approaching and the telephone is starting to ring. Just last week after returning from the Atlanta shallow water show, my buddy and fellow Orvis endorsed guide Capt. Russell Tharin Ameila Is. Fla. and I were out in my new boat. The boat I may add is the best flats boat that I have had the pleasure to operate. We were just out putting some hours on the new motor and checking out how bad this new craft really was. I might say that if not for the zero hull slap Russell and I would not have had the luck we had. We poled up on a huge school of Reds in about ten inches of water, with good sun over head, and were able to sneak up real close. My new boat if you are guessing is another, may I say my fourth, a Hellsbay Marquessa 18 2004. This boat is unsurpassed and if you want to ride in a bad ass skiff look me up if you come to the S.C. area for vacation or buisness. O by the way Russell and I were successful mainly because of the boat and an early tatic that I never thought to use. We caught and released five reds in the four to twelve pound range. All were caught on top water, which I might say is the earliest I have ever caught these fish. Our water temperatures are still pretty chilly. But it is warming every day and the fishing is getting red hot with the water temps creaping up. Check me out on my new site www.captbillglenn.com Tight lines
