Current Report

3/14/05 Special Night Snapper/ Grouper Trip Captain Rich reports that their first stop on the overnight trip resulted in 25 or so throw back Grouper, three keepers, one Mangrove Snapper. They steamed off to 90’ and had a slow pick of Mangrove Snappers and a few more keeper Grouper. The Starship returned home late due to the distance they had to travel. 3/13/05 44HR Middle Grounds Trip Captain Rich reports the trip started out slow with rough sea conditions, as the Gulf of Mexico calmed down on Saturday morning they started catching Mangrove Snapper and Grouper; a slow pick all day long. Saturday night the seas flattened out totally and they had a good Mangrove Snapper bite with some Gag Grouper mixed in. On Sunday morning they had some Amberjack weighing up to about 40lbs. Jose Fiallo won the Grouper pool with a nice Gag Grouper. The other jackpot winners were George Boyer, Mulberry, FL, with an 8.3lb Mangrove Snapper and Don Phillips, Lakeland, FL, with a 37lb. Amberjack. Check out our website for a full schedule of our Florida fishing trips.
