Current Report
Encampment is blown out running cold and high for this time of year. Look for it to drop and start clearing during the next cold front. Snowing right now.

Special Report
While there is really no fishing to report on right now things are shaping up to be good for the Encampment River. Battle Mountain areas had above average snow pack this winter which should give good water well into late July. Floating the river for the Green Drake has been a big draw here for years however many times the wade fishing opportunities from Riverside south to the Colorado State Line are overlooked. This stream holds many very good sized wild trout who are willing to hop on that attractor pattern. The scenery is great with alot of wildlife in the area. Last fall I viewed many 18"- 20" browns spawning in Hog Park Creek which means they are living in the Encampment year round. We offer Riverside lodging with rates starting at $85.00 a night for two with a full breakfast included. For more info on lodging go to www.spiritwestriverlodge.com . For the second year we are offering multi-day trips on the Upper North Platte. These trips are for anglers really looking for that wilderness experience without traveling a far distance to do so. We are located 4 hours from Denver and 4 1/2 from Salt Lake City.
