Current Report
Thanks to everyone who attended our Orvis/Grizzly Hackle Customer Appreciation Day. Remember, you can order anything from the Orvis catalog and pay NO SALES TAX AND NO SHIPPING! 800-297-8996...........................River Level: 2170 cfs. and dropping @ Bonner. The Blackfoot could start to give up some good, consistent streamer fishing. Water temps should reach 50 by the afternoon and have the fish much more active than they had been. Keep your bugs heavy and deep, and vary the speed of your retrieve until you find what they'll eat. Some small fish will be slashing at the caddis this afternoon...a #14 Elk Hair or Goddard Caddis will do the trick. Fly Patterns: Streamers. Sculpin colors (olive/white, brown/white) along with brown/yellow, black/yellow, peach. Tandem nymph rigs with Bitch Creeks, DB Stones, Big (#8-10) Princes, and San Juan Worms. Skwala dries, Elk Hair and Goddard Caddis #12-16 for the few risers. Hatches: Midges, a few skwalas, grey drakes and bwo's.
