Current Report
Flowing at 4000 cfs in Glenwood Springs and muddy after some recent rainfall. Water temps have stayed relatively cold down here this summer, and fishing has been better than normal during the peak of summer. There have also been a couple varietys of PMDs hatching--a very large #12 sulphur and a more standard #16 melon color, along with lots of caddis. You may be lucky enough to find a few remaining yellow sallies as well. Hopper dropper rigs are producing early and late in the day when the clarity's there, and deep nymphing with general attractors, yellow sallies, and caddis is producing the best results throughout the heat of the day. Don't be afraid to look for fish in the pockets and riffles where they get more oxygen, and look for streamer fishing to pick up as monsoon season settles in.

Catch of the Week
20 inch rainbow on a Godzilla hopper.
