Current Report
fishing the lower roaring fork and the colorado from glenwood down; is stupid easy right now. clouds of bluewing olives hover over the river. Few fish rise in the sun on the Fork though. Longline nymphing blm's and biot emergers, and green copperjohns bring out reinvigorated fall fish. browns jump in the fall and the rainbows are morbidly obese. colorado is the same. there are some funky spotted caddis out and about and some huge pale morning duns. most of the fishing will be nymphs. same as fork but i like to go a size or two bigger to catch their attention. Streamer will provide entertaining visuals in the morning and evenings on both rivers, but isn't the most productive midday. Mornings are by far the best.
