Current Report
Fished the upper section of the canyon May 18, 2008. Arrived at 12:30pm hoping the afternoon would produce a little better after the clouds rolled in. Fishing was very tough. Water gin clear and very low. Sight fishing was the key, but the trout seemed very stressed out from yesterday's assault by the weekend warriors taking advantage of the nice weather. I caught 4 decent sized rainbows averaging 12" in less than 2 feet of water. 3 took a size 22 BWO and one a San Juan worm. Fish were also bumping a wooly bugger, RS-2, and pheasant tails but all were long distance release. Hopefully the flows will bump up a bit in the next few weeks.
