Tying Instructions
1. Take the Swiss Straw and Prepare it...Cut off a section of about 4 inches and fold it into a three layers just slightly more than the width of a hook shank...Then apply some Daves Fleximnt to the inside of the third wrap of Swiss Straw this will partialy make the wing into to one peice and it will easier to work with.....Do several of these....1 Four Inch Piece will give you enough to wing about two flies... 2. When the Swiss Straw is Dry apply it to the hook shank....apply to the total length of the hook shank with the remaning section over the front of the eye 3. Dub the Black Beaver Dubbing from the hook bend to 1/32nd of the eye then I add the hackle Then I dub to the eye...I then trying to get 4 or five tight wraps backward.....I then Palmer the remaning hackel backward I then wrap four or five wraps of gold wire thru hackle and tie every thing off just behind the collar 6. I then take my sizzors and cut the hackle off the back leaving a slot down the Back.... 7. I then move the thread to the tyin point 1/32 from hook eye and I then start pulling back on my Swiss Straw I then rib a small section then I move back with my thread and I rib back forming the case over the Back of fly... When done I double Whip finish in that same spot..I then Trim Hackle to just below hook point making it even ... Trim Wing to Fit.....Fly is complete
