Salmon Stinger - Hayden Sammak
This is a fly primarily designed for great lakes salmon fishing. Since the Salmon feed very little during their runs into the rivers, the object of this large and gaudy fly is to peak the salmons curiosity. Snagging king salmon is ILLEGAL and that is why i opt to tie this on a five ought circle hook. Remember, switch and mix the colors to find what works best.

I developed this fly as a filler for my fly box in the off season. Come winter it became an absolute killer, many steelhead have fallen to this pattern. Absolutely a must for the winter steelhead angler. Particularly effective for NY's Salmon River.
